April 25, 2018 – To welcome the steering group of VoiceS-Network at the Come2Graz International Week – VoiceS Conference in 2018, a group of Students in Nutrition Education at PHSt in their last year of studies showed them typical Austrian traditions. The students prepared competitions like lead pouring, a nailing game, ski jumping and many other games. Do you know how to make and later use a Maipfeiferl? Everyone had already tried an apple strudel before at the great lunch, also prepared by students of Nutrition Education. In Carinthia, any girl is only allowed to marry if she is able to krendl the Kasnudln. At this workshop, it was possible to prepare for marriage (with a Carinthian). To remember Austrian traditions and how it feels to be an Austrian, the guests could even take funny pictures with Austrian accessories like Dirndl, Trachtenhut and Lederhose.
